CAROLINE GSELL
“The French Song & Jazz”
The Singer and Vocalist , Caroline GSELL, was born in Brussels. After several years spent in the USA, she settles down in the South of France. Then, she creates her own Jazz formation, the « Caroline GSELL Quartet ».
Mixing the styles, she integrates the « Soul Latitude » Group, founds the « Nice Gospel Soul Choir », joins the « Monte Carlo Big Band », and is invited by the « Nice Jazz Orchestra » managed by Pierre BERTRAND.
Her route and her researches in Jazz, Soul and Gospel universe allow her to express all her sensitivity through a mesmerizing voice which goes deep into the heart.
Under the direction of the Pianist and Arranger Jean-Marc SAJAN, this innovative project allows to rediscover the unforgettable melodies which rocked our childhood. This directory of French songs is entirely revisited in the Jazz style, with more popular melodies such as « La Vie en Rose », « La Javanaise », « la Foule », « Milord », but also « Télephone-moi » by Nicole Croisille and « Syracuse » by Hanri Salvador…
The style is lively, it escapes the fashions, and favours the present moment. It alternates energy and intimacy.
Around the talented Singer Caroline GSELL, we can find a trio of shock :
Tony SGRO at the Bass / Double Bass, Sébastien POURRAT at the Drums and Jean-Marc SAJAN, Arranger and Artistic Director of the project, at the Keyboards.
To them four, they knew to find a musical color unpublished, imprint of modernity but always very accessible to a large public.
